This Assistive Technology Guide is designed to assist you when selecting a method of loading and storing an unoccupied wheelchair or scooter in a vehicle. The appropriate choice depends largely on the weight of the wheelchair or scooter and the ability to dismantle or fold it, the size and space available in the vehicle and the carer's or user's ability to handle the equipment. Specific information about products and suppliers can be accessed via the Assistive Technology Australia website https://at-aust.org/.
