Considerations

Caution
* Ensure that height is adjusted on all four legs so that shower stool sits
squarely on floor
* Ensure that the height adjustment buttons protrude fully through the outer leg

General considerations
* Shower stools are free standing and tend to have little or no back support. Some stools have an optional back support that can be fitted to the stool
* Check that the load capacity of the stool is suitable for the user
* The load capacity of the product may be reduced if the user applies weight unevenly, forcefully or positions the stool unevenly
* The stool height is important to consider. It will effect how easily the user can stand from the chair. Most stools are height adjustable.
* Shower stools may have tubular armrests or side handles.
* There may be a risk of the stool tipping if too much uneven pressure is applied to the armrests (if fitted)
* When considering whether to use a shower chair or stool ensure that the shower tray/ cubicle is large enough to accommodate the stool/ chair as well as the length of the seated person and his/her knees and feet.
