Secure child restraints in cars are important in preventing children being injured by being thrown from their seat in a crash or sudden stoppage. There are 4 main different types. The rearward facing restraint for infants, forward facing child seats, convertible child restraints that can be forward or rearward-facing and the booster seats. A forward facing car seat suitable for children and small adults. It comprises a moulded seat shell with a removable padded cover, adjustable padded head supports and a shoulder harness with padded crotch strap. Four positioning pads are also included. Two seat extension sizes are optional. The Car Seat is available in two sizes.
A range of vehicle restraint vests for children and adults. They feature a shoulder harness and two chest straps, two loops to thread a lap seat belt through and a back zipper closure. Choice of mounting straps. Available in four sizes, each with three zipper positions to ensure proper fit. The SV101M Modified E-Z-ON Vest is suitable for transporting a child lying across the back seat of a vehicle.

An "H" harness which can be fitted before boarding the vehicle. Must be used with an existing standard seat belt. A chest strap fits around the child, fastening with D rings at the side. It is used in conjunction with the fitted lap seat belt in the centre position of the rear seat. Available in two sizes.
A car seat specifically designed to transport children in hip spica casts, broomstick casts and Ilfeld splints. The car seat can be placed in a forward or rear facing position in the car and can be reclined. The maximum user height is 122.5 cm.
The Houdini Stop is a chest clip designed to keep children from getting their arms out of their harness. It can be used on five point and H harnesses. The device clips onto the webbing of the harness and keeps the shoulder straps from being pulled apart. The clip holds securely onto the webbing and cannot be moved up or down when in place. It can be clipped on and off using one hand.
