A Bridge chair is a style of dining chair that features a stable base, padded seat and backrest, and full length padded armrests. This type of chair may be useful to a person who has difficulty standing up from other chairs.
Lounge chairs should offer comfort and support to the user and be easy to get in and out of. Due to reduced strength, pain or stiffness, some users may have difficulty rising from a standard lounge chair and other options may need to be considered. This is a guide only.
Correct sitting posture is important, especially when being seated for long periods. Office chairs can promote or discourage good posture depending on the design of the chair.
