The ACCESS 2.3 is a fully rigged stable 2.3 metre one person sailing dinghy which features electric controls of the rudder and mainsheet operated by a joy stick of chin controller. The sailor reclines in a laterally mounted lazy chair made of nylon webbing. The ACCESS 303 is a larger boat which has a 2 sails, a jib and a mainsail.
This system consists of a portable pontoon which can be fitted with either a modular off-the-beach (OTB) walkway, or a one piece ramp for use off a jetty, wall or bank on-shore. The OTB walkway is in four metre lengths which join at floats with 500kg bouyancy. The ramp is 6 metres long and like the walkway sections, is a foam sandwich laminate for weight saving portability. Both the walkway and the ramp have a removable hand rail down one side.
This modular style home gym is accessible for people with or without a disability. Adjustable cable arms provide for unlimited exercises. The 68kg weight stack has an add-on system that accepts standard dumbbell weights. The seat back adjusts front to back and tilts up and down. Support is provided at every angle. The front bench section is removable to accommodate a wheelchair. Exercises can be performed from any angle.
Access-Able Travel Source is a USA based free information service for travellers with disabilities from around the world. The information is freely available via the Internet and people are also invited to share information which may be helpful to other travellers. Most of their current information is on the USA, and the service providers are writing to organisations in other countries to request relevant information.
Spinal Cord Injuries Australia provides a free information service with an information database of non residential holiday accommodation venues throughout Australia. All venues are accessible to people with disabilities.
Accessible Europe provides a website giving information on tours and travel for tourists with a disability. This is for people using a wheelchair, or for ambulant people with difficulty walking, aged people and anybody needing special care. There is also a Helpline phone number for when assistance is required.
