This three wheeled aluminium transporter platform takes an occupied wheelchair or scooter across several types of terrain. The wheelchair accesses the platform via integral folding ramps. The three flexible "fatso tyres" disperse heavy loads over a large surface rolling area enable access across soft sand, soggy grass, or any other unstable / uneven surface. The load capacity is 181kg.
Wheels 4 Wheels specialises in vehicle modifications to suit individual mobility needs. This includes conversions to enable self driving from a wheelchair, the supply and installation of wheelchair and scooter hoists, wheelchair restraints and drop down floors.
A roof mounted hoist which consists of a motorised winch and a spring loaded gate attached to a car roof rack. The winch lifts the folded wheelchair onto the roof and positions it on the gate. To unload, the gate pivots at the roof rack on the driver's side and inclines to 45 degrees to the vertical over the space next to the driver's door and lowers the chair. A model for a rigid frame wheelchair is pending. This will include a cover.
