A portable battery operated device that monitors the breathing effort of a baby. It is slid over the waistband of a baby's nappy like a pager. If the breathing effort stops, becomes too slow or too shallow, after 15 seconds the built in stimulator will gently vibrate, stirring baby to breathe. If this does not work after five seconds an audible and visual alarm sounds to alert the nearest adult and usually to help wake the baby.
The Respisense monitor only needs to be turned on and slid in over the waistband of the baby's nappy like a pager.
