Must be installed by a qualified tradesperson. The seat must be secured appropriately to masonry or wall studs.
Shower Seats in Public Buildings
In any building which the Building Code of Australia requires compliance with AS1428.1, the fastenings, materials and construction of the seat must be able to withstand a force of 1100 N to comply with AS1428.1. The seat must be installed 470-480 mm above floor level
In a private residence the seat can be installed at a height to suit the individual requirements of the user.
