Short Description

A large self propelled wheelchair for bariatric users. It features a folding, high strength aluminium frame with a double cross member. It features adjustable rear wheel positioning and height adjustable armrests. Seat upholstery has a reinforced insert. Available in large adult sizes with a range of options. Load capacity is 180kg.

Frame
Folding fortified aluminium with double cross brace and perpendicular front frame. Short push handles (see options).

Seat
Slung style. Reinforced insert. Seat width 500 - 620mm. Seat depth 400 - 560mm. Optional foam cushion (see options).

Upholstery
Synthetic nylon fabric. Standard colour is black. Reinforced insert in seat.

Backrest
Slung style. Height adjustable 300 - 400mm standard (Optional 250 - 350mm or 375 to 475mm). Tension adjustable. Optional stabiliser bar.

Armrests
Desk length, height adjustable and swing back with padded gel (Technogel) armrests. Aluminium side panels with neoprene inserts.

Legrests
Swing away, adjustable in length.

Footplates
Single panel aluminium footplate. Swing away, angle adjustable, removable.

Wheels

Factors To Consider

Wheelchair Restraints
When transporting a person in a wheelchair in a car or van, both the occupant and the wheelchair require an RTA approved restraint system. The wheelchair and the occupant need to be separately secured to the vehicle itself.
RTA approval is not required for a postural support, such as a harness, that supports the user in the wheelchair but is not part of the vehicle restraint system.
The use of a headrest is not legally required but strongly recommended. Easily detachable, folding headrests which fit a wheelchair with standard push handles are available. Refer to section Wheelchair, Scooter, Cushions, ramps / Postural Supports - Seating System: Restraint+ Head+Back+Seats
