A rigid framed self propelling wheelchair with infinitely adjustable tilt in space. The standard seat and back feature a plastic strapping system to reduce overall pressure. They can be ordered without strapping to accommodate drop in seats and backs. Features swing away removable footrests and adjustable height, removable armrests. Available in two adult sizes with various options.

More Details

The 587 is suitable as a home care or general facility wheelchair for the active user. It is designed to enable users to propel with their arms or with their feet. The front pivoting seat allows for a proper foot on floor position for propelling while tilted. Has the option of accommodating drop in seats and modular backs.

* The Broda Comfort Tension Seating? "Suspension System" consists of pressure relieving memory vinyl webbing in seat and back. Each strap conforms individually to the patients' body, thus suspending the weight of the patient across multiple points. This strapping system eliminates any risk of patients experiencing discomfort from bottoming out (padded seat) or extra pressure from a sling type seat. Broda Comfort Tension Seating? also reduces heat and moisture build up that often leads to skin break down. Straps reset within 10 seconds.

Capable of 30 infinitely adjustable tilt in space (10 degrees anterior to 40 degrees posterior) Lever operated - lever located beneath push handle. The front pivot seat tilt allows for a proper foot on floor position for propelling while tilted. Seat height and depth are adjustable by adding segments. Broda Comfort Tension Seating with seat upholstery and zippered back. Seat and backrest can be ordered without strapping to accommodate drop in seats and backs. A Solid Seat platform is available when a seat is requested as non-strapped.
