Provide opportunities to meet other families affected by similar birth defects, so that the positive aspects of coping and adjusting can be shared through meetings and newsletters.
Liaise with medical professionals whenever possible, so that a greater mutual appreciation can be achieved.
Provide information regarding limb deficiencies and their management through library services and guest speakers.
Encourage and maintain a high interest in research into congenital abnormalities.
