This video demonstrates safe lifting practices for families, friends and
service providers of people with disabilities. The video followed on from a series of back education workshops conducted by Trudi Muehl, physiotherapist with the Yooralla Society. The emphasis is on the practical nature of lifts and transfers normally encountered in the home and at work. It also demonstrates how, in some circumstances safe improvised lifting can be achieved.
