Short Description
This scheme assists NSW residents who are unable to use public transport because of a qualifying severe and permanent disability. TTSS participants are allowed to travel by taxi at half fare. The maximum subsidy which can be claimed is $30.00. The scheme is administered by the NSW Ministry of Transport.

. TTSS participants can book conventional taxis through the local taxi operator or hail a taxi at a taxi rank or off the street.
. Wheelchair accessible taxis in the Sydney metropolitan area may be booked through the a Central Booking Office.
. There is no limit to how many travel dockets a TTSS participant can use.
. Where possible it is advisable to book wheelchair accessible taxis in advance..
. Delays may arise during peak periods morning and afternoon with people travelling to and from work and school.
. Residents of Newcastle, Wollongong and country NSW can book both conventional and wheelchair accessible taxis through their local operator.

A Taxi Hotline is available for Taxi customers to be able to report poor service or compliment a driver from 6am to 10pm. Customers can phone or email the hotline.
