Agosci 2013 - Connect2Communicate

May 6, 2013

From 1-4 May AGOSCI held it’s 11th Biennial AGOSCI Conference at the Sydney Hilton. Over 300 delegates attended the three day conference and the Preconference Workshops.
When we Connect2Communicate we Connect2Life!
Inspirational keynote speakers were Dr Sarah Blackstone, Dr Susan Balandin and Mel Smith. A highlight of the conference was the Connect2Communicate Community Forum, sponsored by the City of Sydney. Attendees had opportunities in sharing and learning information about communication, plus the need for Communication Access for All.

It's the first time that the Independent Living Centre NSW exhibited at an Agosci Conference.

The Independent Living Centre NSW is pleased to announce that @ magic, our Assistive Technology Database on the website, has it's supplier base extended gradually. It now contains supplier information from all around Australia as well as from New Zealand.

January 23, 2013

On 12 December 2012, ILCNSW's new display at Blacktown was officially opened. Our invited guests shared the joy of our 2012 achievements of building a new display, where we are able to showcase Assistive Technologies and Home Modifications in context, within an apartment built to the Livable Housing Design Guidelines.

After the official opening, our guests inspected the display apartment with the assistance of staff and enjoyed a networking lunch with associates and suppliers.
